Front Desk Assistant – Fall ’26

Academic Success Center Mission: The ASC contributes to NC State students’ academic success by providing a variety of free programs and resources that promote academic skill development and independent learning within the university environment.

Purpose: Provide support to the ASC by providing excellent customer service to ASC and Hill Library visitors.

Starting Wage: $12/hr with semesterly raises

Location: Academic Success Center, 2nd floor Hill Library

Work schedule: 5pm to 9pm, Monday through Thursday.

Fall semester work schedule: We are specifically for people who can work either Tuesdays and Wednesdays or Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Weekly Hours: 4 to 8 hrs/week

Essential responsibilities include by are not limited to:

  • Greet and assist visitors
  • Provide information regarding ASC programs and policies to visitors
  • Use Navigate Kiosk to check in students for drop-in tutoring

Essential Qualifications:

  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Good computer skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Regular schedule and dependability
  • Enrolled at least half time in an undergraduate degree program at NC State
  • Strong preference given to students who have completed one or more semesters at NC State
  • GPA at or above 2.8
